In Memoriam: Dr. Muhammad Aslam (Pakistan Membrane Society)
The Pakistan Membrane Society (PMS) deeply mourns the passing of Dr. Muhammad Aslam, a distinguished researcher and dedicated teacher in Membrane Science and Technology.
Dr. Aslam earned his Ph.D. at the SEMT Center, Inha University, South Korea, where he made pioneering contributions in anaerobic membrane biotechnology. He later served at COMSATS University Lahore, publishing over 100 high-impact research papers with a combined impact factor exceeding 500. His excellence was recognized through numerous prestigious awards, including Dean’s Choice Best Researcher and the Outstanding Research Award.
Dr. Aslam will be remembered not only for his remarkable scientific contributions but also for his mentorship, humility, and unwavering dedication. His legacy will continue to inspire the membrane research community in Pakistan and around the world.
Within the Pakistan Membrane Society, Dr. Aslam played a vital role in strengthening the community of membrane researchers. As an Executive Committee Member, he actively contributed to organizing scientific events, mentoring young researchers, and promoting collaborative research culture in Pakistan. His efforts significantly enhanced the national and international profile of PMS.
We pray that Allah (SWT) grants him the highest place in Jannah.

He was a genius kindhearted person. Words cannot define his worth . He was such a huge loss to students
